PriceWise LLC / PriceTaglet
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated
This Privacy Policy applies to pricetaglet.com, my.pricetaglet.com, and related PriceTaglet account, checkout, and support interactions. PriceTaglet is operated by PriceWise LLC, Maine, USA ("we," "us"). The same policy is published on both sites. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions or requests.
The public website provides product information, articles, calculators, and inquiry forms. The authenticated service helps businesses manage pricing, products, hubs, and electronic tags. Different information is involved in each activity, as explained below. A third-party website you visit through a link has its own privacy practices.
1. Our role and your business's role
We determine how information is used for website inquiries, our customer relationships, account administration, billing, security, and legal compliance. Where privacy law uses these terms, we generally act as a controller for those purposes.
For personal information a business puts into the service for its own operations, that business generally determines the purpose of processing and we act as its processor or service provider, subject to the applicable agreement. A business is responsible for its notices, permissions, lawful instructions, and authorized users. If your information was submitted by one of our business customers, contact that business first; we can assist it with an appropriate request. This notice does not replace a data processing agreement where one is required.
2. Website inquiries and lead information
When you request early access, a demo, a quote, or a response, we collect the information you provide. Our inquiry form asks for your name, business name, email address, phone number, approximate tag requirements, and an optional message. We also record a submission timestamp and an IP or forwarded network address, and use an anti-bot verification token to check the submission.
We use these details to respond, understand your setup, prepare a quote or demo, discuss availability, and follow up on your inquiry by email or phone. We may retain related correspondence and sales notes. Submitting an inquiry does not purchase a product, activate a subscription, or automatically enroll you in a newsletter.
We use inquiry information for our own customer relationships; we do not offer it as lead lists for sale or rent. If you no longer want sales follow-up, tell us by replying or emailing our contact address. An inquiry is not consent to automated marketing calls or marketing texts. Any such program requires a separate appropriate opt-in where required by law. Service, billing, and security messages are distinct from optional promotions.
Please do not include passwords, payment-card numbers, identification documents, or sensitive information in the message field. The site's calculators generally perform calculations in your browser; you do not need to submit a lead form to use them. Requests for market-price data and third-party resources can still generate technical logs.
3. Accounts, service data, and orders
- Accounts and authentication: usernames, account email or other contact details where provided, password hashes, business or store associations, roles, login activity, and two-factor enrollment and verification information.
- Business content: product names, catalog entries, weights, purity, premiums, pricing formulas, tax settings, labels, generated display images, tag assignments, operating schedules, and changes you make.
- Device and network information: hub and tag identifiers, firmware or bridge versions, battery readings, connection and synchronization status, heartbeat times, IP addresses, WiFi network names and signal strength, and related diagnostic information.
- Purchases and billing: purchaser and delivery details, billing and shipping addresses, order items, subscription status, payment-provider customer and transaction references, and fulfillment information. Our payment processor handles payment-card details; the PriceTaglet application does not store full card numbers.
- Support and operational records: messages, troubleshooting details, account or device events, error reports, audit records, and information you voluntarily send to us.
- Agreement records: the account and business context of the person accepting our Terms, the exact document version and content reference, the acceptance screen or flow, and a server-recorded timestamp. These records establish which agreement was accepted and support administration, compliance, and dispute handling; they are not consent to optional marketing or analytics.
Product and pricing fields are intended for business inventory, not as a repository for your shoppers' personal records. Do not enter sensitive personal information or credentials into catalog fields. Information intended for a tag is displayed to people who can see it. Generated price-display images may also be accessible through their image URLs; do not treat display output as confidential storage.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide and administer the service, calculate and deliver your configured displays, process orders and subscriptions, communicate with you, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, maintain security, improve usability and reliability, and comply with legal obligations. Authorized staff may access relevant customer information for support, maintenance, account administration, or incident investigation.
Where a legal basis is required, processing may be necessary to perform a contract or take requested steps before entering one, comply with law, or pursue legitimate interests such as responding to business inquiries and operating a secure service, subject to applicable balancing requirements. We rely on consent for activities that legally require it. Providing contact details or using the site is not blanket consent to unrelated processing.
5. Providers and other disclosures
Information is handled by infrastructure and service providers as needed for hosting, storage, payments, communications, security, diagnostics, and enabled features. The information each receives depends on the function being used. Relevant integrations include:
- Hosting and infrastructure: application hosting, databases, network delivery, and operational logging, including deployments on Railway.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: browser and challenge information used to prevent automated abuse on inquiry and login forms.
- Telegram: when lead notifications are enabled, form contact details, business requirements, and your message are forwarded to our designated notification chat for follow-up.
- Stripe: payment details submitted to the processor, billing and delivery information, and transaction or subscription information needed for checkout and billing.
- Resend and, where enabled, Twilio: recipient details and message content for transactional email, invitations, verification, or support communications.
- Microsoft Clarity, if enabled: portal interaction and technical information for usage analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings. See section 6.
- Catalog assistance: when AI-assisted catalog matching is enabled, the search text you submit and relevant reference-catalog candidates may be sent through OpenRouter to a configured model provider. Do not include personal or confidential information in catalog search text.
- Two-factor QR generation: the current enrollment flow can request a QR image from api.qrserver.com. This sends the enrollment URI, including the account identifier and authentication secret, to that provider. Treat enrollment secrets as credentials and do not reuse them.
Third-party market-data providers supply price inputs. The ordinary server-side price request does not require your contact details or full inventory. External media and fonts are discussed below. Providers may also process information for their own purposes under their privacy notices, especially payment services and embedded media.
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or respond to a security incident. In a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the business, relevant information may be disclosed with appropriate safeguards and transferred subject to applicable law. We may also disclose information at your direction.
6. Browser storage, analytics, and embedded content
The service uses browser local storage for sign-in tokens, user and store context, and related account state; session storage and session or security cookies may support particular flows. Clearing storage can sign you out or reset settings. Never share a browser profile containing your active service credentials.
If enabled, the portal can integrate Microsoft Clarity, which can collect interaction events, page and device information, and session replay data, and can use cookies or similar identifiers. This integration helps us understand navigation and diagnose usability problems when active. Recording and masking depend on the provider and its configuration; avoid entering sensitive information into fields not designed for it. Read Microsoft's Privacy Statement for its practices.
The public site loads resources such as Google Fonts, Vimeo or YouTube videos, and externally hosted images, including Unsplash images. Loading them can reveal your IP address, browser information, the requested page or resource, and interactions to those providers, which may use their own cookies or identifiers. Merely loading a page with an embedded player can contact its provider before you press play. Outbound links have their own policies.
You can use browser privacy settings, cookie controls, or content blockers to limit storage and third-party requests, although some features may stop working. Those controls do not delete information already submitted to us. This policy is a disclosure, not a substitute for consent where consent is legally required. We do not currently promise a uniform automated response to browser Do Not Track signals. Applicable opt-out rights and legally recognized preference signals remain subject to applicable law; contact us to exercise a request.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, considering the customer relationship, the age and relevance of an inquiry, operational and security needs, contractual duties, and legal requirements. Agreement, billing, tax, dispute, fraud-prevention, and compliance records may need to be kept after an account closes. Agreement records are maintained separately from routine diagnostic logs and subject to applicable access and retention requirements.
You may ask us to stop lead follow-up or delete information we no longer need. Account deactivation, deleting a product, or canceling billing is not necessarily deletion of every related record. Logs, messages, provider records, and backup copies may have separate retention periods. We may retain limited suppression details to respect a request not to contact you. We will explain relevant limits when responding; this policy does not promise an immediate purge or a fixed deletion period.
For business-controlled content, coordinate access and deletion through the business's administrator. Before terminating service, request any available copies you need. An export or deletion request may require our assistance rather than a self-service tool.
8. Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the service. No internet service, transmission, or storage method is completely secure. Keep your credentials private, use available two-factor authentication, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Do not send passwords or authentication secrets in a privacy request.
We operate in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States or other countries whose laws differ from yours. Where required, international transfers must use appropriate legal safeguards, such as an applicable adequacy decision or approved contractual protections. Contact us about applicable arrangements before submitting data that requires a specific processing location or transfer agreement; this notice is not itself a transfer safeguard or a certification of compliance.
9. Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain uses or disclosures. Where applicable, you may use an authorized agent, appeal a denied request, and complain to your local privacy regulator. We do not penalize you for exercising applicable rights.
Email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request," identify the relevant site, account, business, or inquiry, and describe what you want us to do. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity or authority; please do not send sensitive identification documents unless we arrange a suitable method. We respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any lawful exception or extension.
You can stop optional promotional messages using an unsubscribe option where provided or by contacting us. Necessary account, order, billing, and security communications may continue while relevant. Withdrawing consent does not undo earlier lawful processing or eliminate other lawful grounds for keeping a record.
10. Children
PriceTaglet is intended for adult business users, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or a higher applicable age threshold. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the service, providers, or legal requirements. We will update its effective date and provide additional notice of material changes where appropriate or required. Changes do not authorize a materially different use of previously collected information where further notice or consent is required by law.
